The challenge
Controlled flow excavation of three 300-metre pipeline sections to a depth of 2.7 m, plus remedial cable burial to 2 m top of cable, in three to six metres of water.
Our solution
The TRS1-LD jet trencher performed the excavation and cleared rock bag and debris sites, while the five-tonne RSBG recovered rock bags and anchors. Gemini NBI sonars provided real-time imaging throughout.
The result
All sections completed to specification in silty sand, with currents of one to two knots.
Next project
Cable burial with full project management
