The challenge
Two subsea cables totalling around 3.5 km required trenching to 2.0 m TOC in soft sand and 1.0 m in stiff clay. Rotech took full operational control — from vessel charter to third-party coordination.
Our solution
The TRS1-LD low-draft tool was mobilised on the OSV Relume and deployed via the vessel crane, selected for its ability in shallow water scopes.
The result
Both cables trenched to Ørsted’s specification, averaging 4 metres per minute in soft sand.
