The challenge
Phase 1 of a two-phase campaign: burial of 21 subsea cables — four export and seventeen array — to a client-specified depth of 2.0 m.
Our solution
The spread mobilised on the Willem De Vlamingh and Grand Canyon II. Despite stiff clay of up to 80 kPa, the TRS1-LD consistently achieved the desired burial depth.
The result
Lowering completed in two passes at an average 4 m/min, reaching up to 10 m/min in places.
