The challenge
Deburial of approximately 80 m of the Thames-Bacton 24-inch gas pipeline plus three spot excavations to allow cutting access, in 20–37 m of water.
Our solution
The TRS1 CFE tool mobilised aboard the Dina Star, working in two passes at around three metres per minute to keep the trench open against rapid natural backfill.
The result
Pipeline exposed to specification, then cut and recovered to deck in 10-metre sections.
