The challenge
Four damaged array cable sections needed to be deburied, cut and recovered to deck from a 99-metre DP-2 construction vessel in 22–26 m of water, with currents up to 1.2 knots.
Our solution
The TRS2 exposed each section in 30 minutes or less. The RSG-C then located, gripped, cut and recovered the cable in a single operation — under one hour per section from identification to cut ends on deck.
The result
After repair, the TRS2 reburied the new sections to 2 m top of cable in 30 minutes or less per section.
